The Llyn Motorbike Club Annual Fundraising Motorbike Ride: 4th March 2012

This year in aid of Dafydd Llywelyn Williams. Aka “Sponge.”

Llywelyn is a 16 years old young man. The son of Llyn Bikers founder Eirian Wyn. Who on his 16th Birthday passed his CBT and is very keen to move on to bigger bikes. Llywelyn is also a Junior Champion Surfer who loves the sea. He also enjoys helping out at the local Lifeboat Station in Abersoch. An all round popular boy.

Tragically Llywelyn was struck down by a car whilst skateboarding home on the 4th September 2011.  He suffered horrendous injuries and during the following weeks his family was told twice that he may not survive the night. The following six weeks of what seemed endless visits to theatre in Bangor & Liverpool Royal Intensive Care Units, being in an induced coma, life support machine plus Dialysis machine. Llywelyn showed everyone an amazing inner strength to recover.
Sadly his right leg had to be amputated above his right knee.

For a 16 year old boy this is a tragic, devastating life changing situation. But Llywelyn is showing great determination and positiveness. In his own words “Wants to be doing everything he was before but better!”

We as The Llyn Motorbike Club would like to help by raising money so he can have the care and equipment he needs to carry on with his life. To get him back in the sea and back on two wheels!
So we invite you to join us on the 4th March 2012 for our Annual Fundraising Ride Out.

The motorbike run will start from Y Maes Pwllheli at 11am Sunday 4th March ( six months to the day Llywelyn was knocked down) We hope to have around 100 motorbikes on the day. We should be going around Abersoch at 11:10 approx before going to Aberdaron then Waunfawr before returning to finish back at The Vaynol for about 15:30 -- 16:00.

Donation forms are available to individuals, but are also in many local shops around the Llyn if anyone wishes to make a donation

IT IS NOT A RACE.
Signing in will start from 09:30am
The Ride Out will begin at 11:00am.
Donations requested for the run will be £5 per bike.
Forms are available for pre & post run donations, please give us a call or visit our Facebook page at Llyn Bikers and we will get a form to you.
Please wear something yellow or a Sponge Bob theme is the call of the day.
