Office Manager SCYC

Due to the fact that our Office Manager, Jude, is retiring next year after many years at the Club, which means that the South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club (SCYC) is looking to fill that position with a suitable candidate. 

The position requires a self-motivated and organized person who is confident in dealing with people, is customer focused, has the ability to self-manage and to use their initiative in day to day situations.  Experience of office administrative duties, basic knowledge of accounting and computer literacy is essential, including knowledge of Excel as well as familiarity with social media.

The ideal person for this role is someone who is able to be flexible in their working hours, with a willingness to adapt and respond to a busy working club and its members.  Working in a spectacular location with a variety of responsibilities, it’s obviously pretty full-on during the peak season, but for the rest of the year offers a high degree of flexibility and a remuneration package comparable with anything else in the area.

Tremfan Hall - Starter / Pastry Chef

- Minimum 38 hours per week of a 5 day working week
- Permanent position
- 4 Weeks paid holiday
- 6 Day week during July and August - No holidays to be taken
during this busy period.

Skills required:
Training is available if there are areas that candidate is unsure of.
- Fresh breads, pastry, chocolate tempering, fresh deserts, ice
cream, pate, terrines.
- Knife skills.
- Attention to detail and must have a strong interest in cooking
and the industry.
- Fridge and stock management, stock rotation.
- Health and hygiene compliant.
- Able to work under pressure, time keeping and punctuality is a
must.
- Must be able to adapt to all areas of the kitchen when required
including cleaning. Our kitchen is operating at Grade 5 for
Health and Hygiene.

Personal equipment required:
Bread knife, fish slice, paring knife, chopping knife, clean chef whites, kitchen shoes.
Aprons provided, facility to wash chef whites provided.

- Split and straight shifts.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Must have experience in a restaurant kitchen.
- 2 Interviews required for the position including a cooking
interview.
- Willingness to learn with the team and share ideas.

Salary negotiable depending upon experience.
